DESCRIPTION:Nous avons le plaisir de vous convier au vernissage de l’exposition “Eternal Signs” de L’ATLAS le samedi 26 mai de 18h à 21h\, en présence de l’artiste. \nLorenzo De Angelis\, danseur et chorégraphe\, interviendra au cours du vernissage.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDans la continuité de ses explorations autour du signe et de la lettre\, celui qui a laissé trace à peu près partout dans le monde se met au défi cette fois-ci\, de conquérir le temps. Pour sa troisième exposition personnelle à la galerie Martine Ehmer\, L’Atlas revient sur un épisode marquant de sa vie\, gorgé de rencontres et d’évidences artistiques\, qu’est son passage en Grèce en 2017. \nSur l’île de Tinos dans les Cyclades\, l’on ne sait lequel tombe amoureux de l’autre en premier\, le marbre ou L’Atlas. Matière lumineuse et caractérielle qui se révèle sous les mains expertes de sculpteurs-graveurs natifs de l’île\, le marbre vient\, dans cette nouvelle série\, sublimer le cryptogramme propre à l’artiste. Avec l’idée pas si illusoire de traverser les âges et les époques tel un vestige archéologique\, L’Atlas matérialise toujours un peu plus ses rêves et ses désirs\, dans le respect des matières naturelles et des savoir-faire ancestraux. \nCette série de marbre s’accompagne également d’un travail autour de l’estampage et d’œuvres sur métal rouillé\, inédites et toutes aussi imprégnées de spiritualités.\nVERNISSAGE Samedi 26 mai\, 18-21h\nEXPOSITION 27.05 > 01.07.2018 \nIn the continuity of his explorations around the sign and the letter\, the one who left traces almost everywhere in the world challenges himself this time\, to conquer time. For his third solo exhibition at the Martine Ehmer gallery\, L’Atlas returns to a remarkable episode of his life\, full of meetings and artistic evidences\, that is his passage in Greece in 2017. \nOn the island of Tinos in Cyclades\, one doesn’t know which falls in love with the other first\, the marble or L’Atlas. Luminous and specific material that is revealed under the expert hands of sculptors-engravers native to the island\, the marble comes\, in this new series\, to sublimate the typical cryptogram to the artist.
