He first became prominent as a member of the “Funk the Power” dj crew and their “Resident Funk” gigs while he also hosted an online radioshow on radiocapsule.com that was entirely dedicated to broadcasting analogue music and promoting local vinyl collectors and djs.\nOver the last years\, the “Shake your Groove Thing!” and “Soul on Top” gigs he organizes every month at Fatblack Pussycat in Strasbourg have enabled him to share the turntables with such djs as Dj Format\, Mark Hype\, Keb Darge\, Mr Ting\, the Strictly Niceness Residents and many other Djs from the Funk\, Soul\, Disco\, Breaks or HIipHop scenes.\nYet his passion for Soul\, Rhythm’n Blues and 45s also allowed him to play his records far beyond his original borders ( in Germany\, Belgium\, Switzerland\, England or well further away …) trying never to stop dancing while travelling through the 60s and 70s.\nUntil last year he also remained a founding member of the 100% vinyl “Locked Grooves” record shop created in Strasbourg in 2015.\nHis latest project\, The SoulShaker Club and it’s Soulshaker / Going to a GoGo Nights\, that he hosts along with his mates Dr Sympathy and Don K\, exclusively focus on the 60’s and offers the dancers to shake to hyperenergetic Rhythm’n Blues\, Early Soul\, Ska\, Garage and French Pop 45s only selections.\nTo finish\, whether on air or online\, Winston gives you 2 soulful appointments twice a month on Radio MNE/ Radiomne.com and OCD live\, two 1.5 hour sessions of soulful therapy entitled “Too Soul for School” and “Les Lundis ça Soul” . \n– Mixcloud: https://www.mixcloud.com/winstonsmith/ \nAbout the Host: \nDJ REEDOO\nSpinning in clubs and festivals all around the World\, DJ Ree Doo shared scenes with international artists from the Soul\, Jazz\, World and Electronic scenes. \nAlso drummer in various projects\, he had his own record store during six years: United Musik. \nResponsible for booking concerts and DJs at Bar Du Matin (Brussels) from November 2008 to April 2015.\nWith more than 500 concerts as promoter\, he is also the instigator of Afro Heat parties wich are devoted to 70s african beats and co-organizer of the Strictly Niceness parties. \nFrom April 2015 to May 2016\, a great (but too short) adventure: the Soul Inn. A musical bar he opened with his partner Funky Bompa. Located in the center of Brussels city\, this venue already welcome great names of the Soul Funk worldwide scene.
