SUMMARY:Sororités de Lynn S.K.
DESCRIPTION:Après des études de cinéma\, Lynn S.K. choisit la photographie afin d’élaborer une recherche en images autour de la sororité\, la mémoire enfouie et l’entre-deux géographique\, directement issue de son histoire personnelle\, ancrée entre la France et l’Algérie. \nSon travail autour de l’identité féminine et de l’adolescence l’amène à collaborer régulièrement avec des auteures telles que Virginie Despentes\, pour le film Bye-Bye Blondie\, ou Lola Lafon pour différents romans et albums\, notamment Une vie de voleuse. \nLynn participe à des expositions personnelles ou collectives en France et à l’international : Biennale des Photographes du Monde Arabe Contemporain à Paris\, les Rencontres de la Jeune Photographie Internationale à Niort\, Musée National du Bardo à Alger… Elle collabore également à des publications pour la presse ou des maisons d’éditions (Qantara – IMA\, Actes Sud\, Eurozine…). \n\n\n\nDepuis mon premier retour en Algérie à l’automne 2014\, et après plus de dix-sept ans d’absence en terre natale\, j’ai exploré l’idée de sororité du nord au sud algérien\, et suivi le quotidien de plusieurs femmes\, des montagnes kabyles à Tamanrasset\, aux portes du Sahara.\nDans Sororités\, j’ai voulu photographier les histoires cachées derrière les visages\, et tenter\, à travers la photographie\, de combler la part manquante de l’Histoire – leurs histoires\, et la mienne. DESCRIPTION:Thursday February 13th\, starting at 6PM\, NECTAR will be happy to host two wonderful painters\, Ander and Veronika. These two creative minds have chosen to work on a colorful collaboration which we’re excited for you to come and see. Make sure to save the date\, they’ll be occupying our space for ten days ! \nAnd until then\, have a glimpse into their world\, through their very own words : \n“I do not want to represent anything. I try to break away from what I have already seen. \nI try to work with the unknown\, taking the risk as I structure it. Dealing with what is already known to me\, would be a reaffirmation\, but not an exploration. \nI compile layers\, forms and colors. On this foundation\, the elements overlap gradually\, readjusting and familiarizing with each other. A relationship develops between the different: they harmonize with each other or clash. \nIn the midst of the tree leaves\, in the order within chaos\, that’s where I want to be” \n– Ander Etxaniz Altube \n“Incompatible image distributions and variables\,\ncarpet\, wallpaper\, mosaics & shiny beads motifs. \nPersons you meet\, things you do\, things you wish others to be doing\, longing for places\, computer screens\, cheap fabric prints\, body-pains\, missing someone\, ignoring someone\, listening to stories\, dreams of palm oil trees and yellow houses. \nThey float as in a continuous desire for a cobblestone when I’m somewhere in an exotic place\, and vice versa.
