Avec Victims & Images, la danseuse et chor\u00e9graphe isra\u00e9lienne Roni Chadash poursuit une recherche engag\u00e9e sur le corps et sa repr\u00e9sentation dans nos soci\u00e9t\u00e9s. Un corps offert, un corps sacrifi\u00e9 sur l\u2019autel des images-clich\u00e9s de la f\u00e9minit\u00e9 au service des regards ext\u00e9rieurs, du cr\u00e9ateur et de ses d\u00e9sirs, du plaisir du spectateur-consommateur-voyeur aussi.
\nDans ce duo, Roni Chadash et Carmel Ben Asher sont, \u00e0 la fois et en m\u00eame temps, pr\u00e9datrices et victimes, nous offrant un album d\u2019images qui se succ\u00e8dent au rythme d\u2019un diaporama, des palpitations d\u2019un c\u0153ur ou simplement d\u2019un clignement de paupi\u00e8re, toujours promptes \u00e0 se d\u00e9r\u00e9gler en vibrations plus convulsives.
\nIl y a de l\u2019enfance et du jeu dans tout cela, du rire aussi, et une certaine part de secret.<\/p>\n

Met Victims & Images zet de Isra\u00eblische danseres en choreografe Roni Chadash haar onderzoek verder. Ze bestudeert hierbij het lichaam en de voorstelling ervan in onze maatschappijen. Een lichaam dat te grabbel wordt gegooid, dat wordt geofferd op het altaar van clich\u00e9s en beelden van de vrouwelijkheid ten dienste van vreemde blikken, van de kunstenaar en zijn verlangens maar ook van het amusement van de toeschouwer-consument-voyeur.
\nIn dit duo zijn Roni Chadash en Carmel Ben Asher tegelijkertijd roofdier en prooi. Ze laten ons een album zien van afbeeldingen die elkaar opvolgen op het ritme van een diavoorstelling, een kloppend hart of trillend ooglid, waarbij er steeds stuiptrekkingen op de loer liggen.
\nHet speelse en kinderlijke is nooit veraf, we merken zelfs een glimp van humor op, maar altijd blijft er een vleugje geheimzinnigheid hangen.<\/p>\n

In Victims & Images, Israeli choreographer Roni Chadash is showing continued commitment to her research, which she started over three years ago, concerning the body and its representation in our modern societies.
\nIn this duo, Roni Chadash, together with the dancer Carmel Ben Asher, are taking it one step further, confroting the audience with their never-ending need\/will to produce images through their own bodies.
\nThey are simultaneously predators and victims, changing constantly between different images for the sake of the show, for the art, for feminity, for themselves.<\/p>\n
