Thursday February 13th, starting at 6PM, NECTAR will be happy to host two wonderful painters, Ander and Veronika. These two creative minds have chosen to work on a colorful collaboration which we’re excited for you to come and see. Make sure to save the date, they’ll be occupying our space for ten days !<\/p>\n

And until then, have a glimpse into their world, through their very own words :<\/p>\n

“I do not want to represent anything. I try to break away from what I have already seen.<\/p>\n

I try to work with the unknown, taking the risk as I structure it. Dealing with what is already known to me, would be a reaffirmation, but not an exploration.<\/p>\n

I compile layers, forms and colors. On this foundation, the elements overlap gradually, readjusting and familiarizing with each other. A relationship develops between the different: they harmonize with each other or clash.<\/p>\n

In the midst of the tree leaves, in the order within chaos, that\u2019s where I want to be”<\/p>\n

– Ander Etxaniz Altube<\/a><\/p>\n

“Incompatible image distributions and variables,
\ncarpet, wallpaper, mosaics & shiny beads motifs.<\/p>\n

Persons you meet, things you do, things you wish others to be doing, longing for places, computer screens, cheap fabric prints, body-pains, missing someone, ignoring someone, listening to stories, dreams of palm oil trees and yellow houses.<\/p>\n

They float as in a continuous desire for a cobblestone when I\u2019m somewhere in an exotic place, and vice versa. Like in a poem by Heinrich Heines ein Fichtenbaum.”<\/p>\n
