HECTOLITRE est un lieu en développement dédié aux artistes qui souhaitent approfondir leur projet, expérimenter la transdisciplinarité ou connecter leur pratique au quartier.
Mais c’est aussi un bâtiment atypique au cœur des Marolles et en pleine transition identitaire. Anciennement club échangiste au décor pétri d’art brut puis lieu de stockage pour les brocanteurs, il se transforme petit à petit, en attendant des travaux de rénovation qui rendront pérenne sa vocation d’espace au service des artistes.
Dans le cadre des journées du patrimoine, nous proposons une exposition, quatre visites guidées, ainsi que deux rencontres autour de questions qui résonnent avec le projet.

HECTOLITRE is a venue under development dedicated to artists who wish to delve deeper into their projects, experiment with transdisciplinarity or connect their art form to the neighborhood and its inhabitants. However, it is also an unusual building in the heart of the Marolles neighborhood undergoing a radical change of identity. A former night club filled with works of Art Brut, then a storage space for the dealers of the close-by flea market, it is now being transformed while awaiting renovation works to turn it into a permanent dedicated space for artists.
In the context of the Heritage days, we offer an exhibition with artists in residence, four guided visits and two thematical encounters on the themes resonating with the project of Hectolitre.

«Een plaats voor kunst»

Hectolitre is een plaats in ontwikkeling voor kunstenaars die hun project willen uitdiepen, experimenteren met verschillende disciplines of hun praktijk willen verbinden met de wijk en haar inwoners. Het is ook een atypisch gebouw in het hart van de Marollen en volop in transitie naar een nieuwe identiteit. Deze vroegere parenclub met een decor vol art brut en nadien opslagplaats voor brocanteurs bevindt zich in een overgangsfase in afwachting van renovatiewerken die het een definitieve bestemming moeten geven als ruimte in dienst van de kunstenaars.
U kunt deze ongewone locatie ontdekken aan de hand van een tentoonstelling, vier rondleidingen en twee ontmoetingen.

Tentoonstelling van de werken van de” artist in residence”: zaterdag en zondag van 12u tot 17u (vernissage op zaterdag om 12u)
